Kuja (Character Design Challenge May 2020)

This is my take on the May 2020 CDC subject : Final fantasy series fanart.
I picked Kuja because he always has been my favourite on this license. A real deep and complexe character.

To sum up, if you don't know this character and never played to FF9, his physical appearance might now disturb you. *SPOILER* It's because he is an androgyn and hermaphroditic synthetic being. You can imagin how fucked up can you become, when you are extremly clever but realize you can't love, make love, attach or empathize. Kuja is lying to himself for a while, trying to live a dream life, act like a high class noble, being a magic weapon seller, pupetting the whole world, until the end of the game when reality of his origins strike him hard, then ... everything falls appart in his head and sucking him into a philosophical destructive madness.

This is to me one of the best villain psychology ever wrote.
